The Delta City Open is Detroit’s version of IMYTA. I happened to be in town during last year’s contest and had such a good time that I flew out from California to attend again this year.
The turn out was really good. There must have been 200 people skating and watching everything go down.
I got lost looking for the second spot, and decided to post up at this bar to check out a few Bloody Marys.
Spot 3 was an abandoned school on the outskirts of town.
In my 15 or so years of skating in Detroit, I had never been to this spot. Fresh spots are the best way to keep a street comp exciting year after year.
“Yeaaaaaaaaaah, Drew”!
But for real, this is advertising/street fred gold for next year! Gracias! So glad y and Lucy made it. You want to be a judge next year with us?
*Street Cred.
Idk who street fred is.
