PHOTO JOURNAL

If you don’t know Ryan Parker, you should. Parker is among the most talented shredders I have ever seen in person, on a regular basis. The technicality and flow of his blading has always been distinct and smooth. On this particular day, Parker, Cody Reffner, Brant Pickup, and myself made our way past the Lawrenceville part of Pittsburgh to a school we had all seen before. We had never noticed the parking gate you see in the photo however. After a few minutes of checking it out and waxing, Parker and Cody began to warm up. Cody struck first with a ridiculous switch-up, but Parker was not to be outmatched. With the focus of a veteran blader, Parker laced a switch alley-oop top porn and 360’d out. I knew it was time to grab my camera when I overhead him talking about his next trick. A few moments later my shutter snapped this shot of Parker doing an Alley-oop Negative Mistrial, and then we crowded around the screen to see the shot. He approved, and I was happy, so that was that. Another day in Pittsburgh with the Yinzer bladers, another ONE photo journal. — Bruce Bales

Ryan Parker is easily one of the best rollerbladers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I don’t think ANYONE can top him on handicap rails: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpSypc3oQL8
