AO Topside Acid

I shot this photo of Alex “Dench” Harlan at some random apartment complex somewhere on the East side of Austin. It was my first day in town and Alex had skipped work to show me around, trying to get some photos. By the time we arrived at this particular spot, Alex only had an hour before he had to be at school. I quickly set up my flashes while he sweatstanced the rail several times to get the feel for it. The rail itself was perfect, but as always, there were a few factors to take into account… narrow approach, jagged rocks, and oncoming traffic to name a few. Knowing how sweet an AO Top Acid would be, Alex didn’t let those things get to him. After getting some support from one of the nearby tenants, and eating shit a couple times, he hammered it out and was off to school. — Greg King

as Nas preached in a rhyme known as one time for your mind

those who seeketh shall set the secret free

the subject of the evening takes us back to a time of thieves n hethens

a reason to rewind and seek the wisdom given in shipments

is easy to see when aquired thru readings and writings left by the

    ancient squires

this college class im sittin in is full of hippies and recent Micky D’s retirees

like treason the ancient hethens scribbled their rhyme n reason

causing a ripple affect in a sea of eager n meek

similar to the formation of a tidal wave like the free masons

the ancient scribes erased the vacancy of complacency and thotless heresay

many have forgotten about the scribes over a round of scotch

but the knowledge brought by the lot

shipped to school systems seems to be a constant discussion sesh at the after class bratwurst n beer fest

    followed by a kegger

two dudes to my left drunken n passed out up in my bachelor pad

now I gotta go back to class

but if you wanna shot at my raps watch this short clip of FISH

busting a DROPRAIL to officially end your defiance

keep in mind we work together in an alliance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyZ1xfXJzyY&feature=related

I don’t know whether it’s the lens, the editing or the skater, but it reminds me of my old daily bread magazines and thats certainly not a bad thing. I bet that felt amazing on that sick rail, well done lad.
