On a weekend spent up in the northwest of England visiting friends, I couldn’t help myself in keeping one day free to go hook up with my favourite North Welsh dude, Tom Barrio. The plan was to have a day of adventures along the beautiful North Welsh coastline, with the hope of bagging a few snaps along the way. The day started in Bangor at the strawberry bowl, so-called because of the paint job that includes strawberries all over the garish pink paint job. The bowl is very much proper in its design: steep, tight and very whippy. The challenging nature of the bowl didn’t stop Tom. Once the latest addition to the USD Am team had acclimatized, he was lashing out some beautiful airs in the deep end. — Sam Cooper
