It appears handrails are like buses… I don’t shoot them for years, then two come along within a week. But today I met up with Si Coburn and Slaptap owner Mike Gogerty for a little shred about the small town of Redditch. This isn’t the easiest spot to get a decent composition on for the shot because your trapped in between a shitload of houses and cars, and they continue to clutter the background (which is always a pet hate). The second challenge, but more for Si than for me, was the extremely enthusiastic, yet after a while annoying, posse of 10-year-old kids hanging about. Shot ready and kids ordered to STFU and watch, Si laced this sweaty, exactly as I imagined and asked.

Shot with my Canon 7D, 50mm, 1/250 at f5.6 with both Vivitar 285s in use, one at the bottom of the rail and one at the top. Simples.

Cheers, Cox
