cool… so what skate mold did you use for the skeleton?

it wouldn’t be at all astonishing to say that this skate rememds me of valo, trs, razors cult(with skins of course), grycon and VII

    yup soo revolutionary…

    support 100% skater owned skates.

  • jason reyna - September 7th, 2007

i want to see it naked…. c’mon baby take it off.

  • Anthony - September 7th, 2007

They’ll skate better than valo’s, The cuff looks like salomon’s which is good. Skater owned is really all this company seems to be offering. I should probably refrase that-solid skate that is also skater owned, as long as the price point is alright it’s really a no brainer…

  • brandon - September 7th, 2007

    sick

  • wesdriver - September 7th, 2007

From what we have been told, it will retail for $199 in the US.

  • Anthony - September 7th, 2007

    awesome…

  • Ian Hutch - September 7th, 2007

i’m ready to cop a pair right now

  • joey mcagrry - September 7th, 2007

I can’t wait to blade some weird shit in those babies. I’m all for tech advancements like my xsjado’s… But if Shima and Elliot start a boot company you best believe I’m jumping on their ship. Thank you for making it all black.

Yeah take that leather jacket off and let us see that cuff and toe area.

It looks like theres a little cess slide nub on the soul plate. Yes!

My only slight concern is that tounge being so vicious that it doesn’t stay put.

I wonder how light they are?and if they look large on a foot?

Rollerblading would be a very dark place if it wasn’t for 4×4 and ground control. I’m so excited about Nimh. Thank you Rat-Tail for stirring some industry shit up!

    Team? Controversy?

  • roussel - September 7th, 2007

i think this is the definition of perfect

  • Tim Parker - September 7th, 2007

I need to get hold of shima or jon for a revival interview ASAP! rollingrevival@gmail.com please guys!

  • vic - September 7th, 2007

theres something about the skate that reminds of deshis i think..it kinda lookds like the dk4s in a way..i dont know…the skate looks good but it doesnt look inovative(spellin?) so its not like a skate that i would really want to try

  • Andrew Walker - September 7th, 2007

I’m sure Shima and Elliot are reading all these comments and if they read this then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a size 10.5 fit like a US shoe 10.5 or a size 7 fit like a US size 7. Just make the skate size the same as our shoe sizes. Lots of kids starting up who buy skates online can get confused about all this needless “This skate fits 1 in a half sizes big or, order a size to 2 sizes down. I don’t understand why I need to order a size 11 skate in some brands and a 10 in others, I’m 10.5 so keep it simple guys, If you make them true to size it will sound so good in an interview to say “Just order whatever shoe size you are and the skate will fit perfectly” True to size, true to size.

And at least 4 shell sizes please I cant stand it when a skate has, as an example, 8 US liners in a shell thats 9 or even 10!!! What’s all that wasted room doing? Its creating extra weight and making the skate look bigger than it actually fits on your feet.

  • dFabiano - September 8th, 2007

looks exactly like a valo with a different skin and soul-frame. They look pretty sick though, I would rock em’

  • Nick - September 8th, 2007

There is some unchartered territory here. Releasing a whole new liner with the skate I think is a great idea that builds hype around the product, I just hope the liners are simple, yet durable. We don’t need a bunch of extra crap on the outside to make it look like a high tech liner (I’m looking your way Sifika) Just put the padding where it is needed, around the ankle, around the top of the liner, and please create a solid foot bed that has arch support.

The shape and construction of the boot reminds me of classic Razors, or USD, so what that means is, there is a good chance you are using the USD Damocles skate mold. If so, I think it is a great idea that you cut out the toe box, it will make the product more appealing to people who have the wider foot.

The souls look great, and I personally support the create your own groove idea. I know this skate is being distributed by Rat-Tail and they know their plastic compounds, so I can only prey that the soul isn’t made out of a soft material that is urethane based. The souls look as if they only require 2 bolts, like the Deshi models, I hope that is the case, because the ability to put on many different brands of souls makes the skate a lot more customizable and will go a long way in promoting the “choose your own style” campaign.

I hope this is a skate that will look great either with or without the skin on. Personally, I don’t usually like skins, but on this skate it really works, but when the skin tears to shit I hope there is a good looking underboot as well.

I know this is just a sample of the product, and all the changes have not been made, but the opinions stated above are just some concerns/idea. Overall, the skate looks awesome, jet black with highlights is definitely the way to go, add to that the knowledge both Shima and Elliott have about skates and the industry and I’m sure this skate will do well. I know I will pick up a pair ASAP.

  • al dolega - September 8th, 2007

IF this skate is based around the shell used by the cult/damocles/flat/impact, i’m not sure cutting the toe out is really necessary; i haven’t ever heard any out-of-the-ordinary complaints about toe jamming or cramping with that boot. but as long as it’s just the toebox and not into the forefoot area that’s removed i don’t think it will hinder the skate’s performance.

personally i hope the soul has a better mounting system than just the frame bolts, even just four small points (two on the forefoot, two on the heel) would make the skate much more stable and solid. having additional mounting points wouldn’t affect the skate’s “compatibility” with other souls at all anyways.

GC has never used urethane-based plastics so i would expect this skate won’t either.

  • Joey McGarry - September 8th, 2007

So that pdf is some kind of a hoax? It’s not what the boot is actually going to look like?

    November seems really far away.

When can we expect the official press release with the exact details of the boot?

Coolest thing to happen in rollerblading since that USD ad with the superteam.

Speaking of superteam it would be hilarious/amazing if Farmer and Broskow were on the team. Down with the man!

I can’t picture haffey being taken from Kato.

  • Joey McGarry - September 8th, 2007

Oh yeah lots of other cool stuff has happened in rollerblading too. But in terms of something that flips the inustry upside down… Not since USD.

  • Dist46Sweden - September 8th, 2007

good words said, hope all that customisation will be offered, that would be siick, word going around on swedeninline is that they are liking it alot! some are scepticle but that is to be expected when new things happen that arent familiar with us, anyway its a siick skate that ill be sure to invest in once its all out in shops and being reped by rollers, no doubt.

  • guy - September 9th, 2007

bet haffey ends up on the team

  • guy - September 9th, 2007

haha ye imagen a team of farmer, broskow, haffey, bailey, alfano, aragon, shima and frankie, i know it would be impossible to fund but it would be cool

  • warrem - September 9th, 2007

if the toe is cut out I would hope that there is a replacement skin offered at an affordable price.

it would seem that v-cuts are a hype right now, why didnt you v-cut this skate? I think it would be great. (but im a v-cut fan soo…)

I love the liner. It looks simple and basic. Does it have arch support?

    Nice skate!

  • tiny elvis - September 9th, 2007

this vicious logo on that liner is huuuge man, just sayin its big, thats all.

  • triad.chicago - September 9th, 2007

marketing… next skate will probably be a “limited ed.” white skate. then probably some gray tones here and there. v cut cuff/liner will probably be sold as replacement parts or on their 4th or so skate. and dont forget different soulplate variations and replacement skinzzz.

  • WHO KNOWS - September 14th, 2007

the skate looks good but making your groove is kinda wack

  • Dist46Sweden - September 16th, 2007

ahhh making a groove wont take much time, think about it this way “who knows” mabe its a good idea which i believe it is, give it 10-15min of grinding on a concrete ledge with a bit of roughness and you ll have that great locking groove.

  • AndrewTunney - September 16th, 2007

I can’t see how anyone can find fault with this just from looking at the pictures we’ve been given.

It’s a skate, it looks good and it’s not some over-worked moonboot, it’s made by people with solid backgrounds , so what if you have to make your own groove? We all grind differently, our grooves should be different too… and c’mon, it doesn’t really take that long to wear in your skates. People used to do royales on rec skates with no replacebable parts or grooves so suck it up junior!

(I’m with Al Dolega on the soul mounting system though, only having the 2 frame bolts has put me off Deshi for a long time)

This is really good news for rollerblading. So what if it looks kinda like some other skates.. there’s really only so much you can ‘revolutionise’ before they stop being footwear. It’s not like human beings’ feet are going to change shape any time soon.

  • matty schrock - September 18th, 2007

those shits look bad ass. they look thin none of the puffy shit. the soul plate idea is one of the best ideas to fit your skating to your skate. cant wait to try one on. when they come out.

  • KiZeR 13 - September 22nd, 2007

    How much ?

  • Travis Rhodes - September 24th, 2007

they remind me of the old razor shima 1s and the shima 2s

they are sick looking skates yo…

keep rolling or your shits week

  • Matt - September 27th, 2007

What the hell is the name all about?

  • RAT - September 29th, 2007

these skates look sick and even if they do suck they will make money because they have shima’s name attached to them.

  • Zack - October 8th, 2007

    HOLY SHIT!

  • FreestyleHolmes - April 26th, 2008
