I found this spot over a year before the photo was taken. It’s an abandoned house in the center of the city where homeless people like to hang out.

When I talked to Evert Lubja about the spot he was eager and ready to go skate it. Well, at least until we got there. The run up to the rail was covered with a mixture of dirt, broken bottles and moss. Scrapping it off didn’t seem to work, so Evert tore off some pieces of a nearby fence and built himself a “catwalk” up to the rail.

That way he could get his speed up further away on the pavement, then run up a three step staircase onto the “catwalk,” and after all that — nail an alleyoop pornstar on the rail.

That’s some ghetto blading in my opinion. I’m super lucky that I can work with such great athletes that are willing to do such things just because I think it would look good in a photo.
