This spot had both me and Zak foaming at the mouth for long enough, and once the weather conditions were just right we made our move. Located on the outskirts of the city, this rarely dry paddling pool structure provided a very original but still perfect obstacle — even if the run up and landing was lacking. With no street lights around the area we left it to late evening so the resulting image looked to have been shot as if in prefect darkness, but it still gave Zak enough light to see what he was doing. After some frantic changes of angle, lenses and lighting, Zak delt with the worst run up and shortest landing to lace this royale to mute gap over the top platform, landing into the second bank. I finally settled apon my Sigma 18-55mm, lit the scene with three flashes and used my Nikkon D50’s amazing flash sync rate of 1/500 to its fullest to freeze the fast moving action.
