See and read about how things went down when Joey G. brought himself from Long Island to the west coast! Photos compliments of Wes Driver…
Joey G. made the trek out to San Diego recently to take refuge from the harsh conditions of NYC. Aside from having the best weather year-round of any city in the U.S., San Diego is also home to more skate spots than you can imagine. However, without a guide of sorts, finding them is a completely different story. Most of the spots are at schools and those are all tucked away within the hundreds of neighborhoods throughout the city. Realizing this, Joey picked up the phone and enlisted my help to navigate him through the suburban sprawl of wide streets and 40’s style bungalows. Among our stops were a local North Park ledge, a new rail located conveniently next to a freeway on-ramp, and a famous loading dock that has been molested over the years. Welcome to California Joey, hope you enjoyed your stay. Free tour guide not always included.
