Here’s to Jon Julio setting another benchmark in rollerblading. Almost every time I skate I hear someone (sometimes myself) complaining about “being too old” because of the aches and pains that can go hand-in-hand with bladelife. Jon is proof that taking care of yourself and staying focused can put your age-related fears to rest. And I take great solace in Jon’s situation, because you see, Friday the 16th is my 30th birthday too. Happy Birthday Jon, keep doing what you do. — JE
