The Monster on America’s Got Talent

Under the auspices of performing with American BMX Stunt, Jaren Grob skated in front of Howard Stern tonight. On nationwide television. There was no fruitbooting joke, just a simple answer to a question from the judges as to what/who all they had on stage: “… seven guys on bikes, one guy on a scooter and one guy on inline skates.” They passed their first round of elimination and get another chance to perform in Las Vegas. We wish them luck.

Yup, that’s the Monster all right.

Lacing up.

Pre-deal interview with the group.

This looks like a clip from warmups.

Blurry setup air.

Backflip 180? Inverted 540? Didn’t really see it… too busy trying to push the shutter.

Look who had a mic in hand and was at the center of the group. Hmmmm…

The part where Howard Stern told them they were awesome. Advanced to next round.

So, what do you think about Jaren blading on tv with a bunch of BMX dudes?

I think it’s dope and at least it’s someone that can make rollerblading look the way it should!

  • Boom Shakalaka - June 13th, 2012

I seen this, was so stoked. Glad the Monster is able to do work for Rollerblading on National t.v.

  • Gustavo - June 13th, 2012

Yes EXPOSURE!! And from a rollerblading legend!

  • Tom Verroco - June 13th, 2012

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. The best way for our sport to get the exposure it needs these days is by combining with other “Action Sports”. On that note I was stoked to see Jaren and the bmx guys rip it up for America.

ehhhh we get exposure but in my opinion thats not where blading belongs….

Oh Man was my Cousin smokin on America’s Got Talent. You go Jaren. I am so proud of you.

Coco is in a group too but the footage they show is so limited of both of them. All the time on that show is spent on creating drama and showing people get disappointed. They spent a huge portion of last night’s show on how most of the contestants aren’t even going to be allowed to perform after making it to Vegas then another huge section on a handful of singers that were not interesting at all and make you wonder why they made it past the first stage at all.

  • Jesse Meyers - June 26th, 2012

This is a really loaded question, “So, what do you think about Jaren blading on tv with a bunch of BMX dudes?” It insinuates we should have a problem with it. Other than “It is fucking awesome!” what answer are you looking for?

  • JE - June 26th, 2012

We obviously think it’s cool or we wouldn’t have posted it. And the question is phrased that way to encourage dialogue. Telling someone what to think isn’t very interesting…

  • Jesse Meyers - June 27th, 2012

I’m picking up what you’re throwing down. The wording just threw me off, know what I mean.

  • JE - June 27th, 2012

Yeah for sure. We just with him and that crew the best of luck.
