THE WORD #1: Trapped

THE WORD

It’s one thing to be 100% focused on what you do… it’s another thing to be so focused that you forget to look around you. It’s good to step back from problems and situtions for a second and look at everything you have gone through and how you got where you are now. Sometimes that’s the best way to find your creativity. Today, it’s not hard to get distracted; you have iPod, iPhones, iPad, iEverything. Shit, even YouTube. It has its ups and downs, having all these new technology tools, I just hope that it doesn’t take away people’s mind state to the point that they depend on them, but instead that they remember what they really are—Tools. So if the day comes when all of that shit is gone, then what? What makes you human now? What makes you creative? Nowadays it’s all about the social media. You could get hired and fired in the same day all because of a status you put on your Facebook or Twitter. Don’t be the deer caught in the headlights of a moving car. Wake up. This is life and it’s more beautiful then anything a TV, cell phone, or computer screen could ever show you. You just have to get out and see it. Don’t be trapped in the modern life and forget there is a real world out there or you’ll be that person who seems to always have cigarette lit but can’t remember lighting it… Weird. — B Free
