EVENTS: AIL World Championships Day 3

The final day saw some amazing skating from the likes of Chris Haffey, Brian Aragon, Franky Morales, Brian Shima, Jeff Stockwell, Chaz Sands, David Sizemore, and Erik Bailey. Here is the final breakdown:

1st place: Chris Haffey

2nd place: Jeff Stockwell

3rd place: Brian Aragon

4th place: David Sizemore

When the judges called “time” the skating didn’t stop either, so check out the next issue of ONE for a look at what Bailey pulled as the crowd of pros looked on. Step inside this post to see some highlights from the final showdown.

Jeff Stockwell was the first to start really skating the “satellite” with this fakie wallride, but he definitely wasn’t the last.

Brian pulled this flawless back nugen to 900 out to show the kids the difference between

the ams and well, uh… him.

Brian Shima threw this gap to true makio down in the semi-finals.

Chris Haffey 540 flatspin in the finals

Chris Haffey goes higher than anyone else at the comp with this 360.

Brian Aragon pulling his signature fakie 540 to topacid.

Chris Haffey answers the call from Aragon and delivers this amazing fakie 540 to

topsoul on the grind rail.

Oh my God. Those were great but Chaz Sands Fastplant to 360 disaster topsoul from the down rail to the coping was absolutely crazy. I was right next to him and the gap was at least seven feet wide. Then brian Aragon answers it with a crazy quarter transfer to disaster true top soul, then followed by true top acid on the same down rail. Oh and haffey transferring from The quarterpipe where the dish was at to the freakng main quarterpipe was so awesome. I mean he had to cover at least twenty feet of space and got so high that I lost him behind the flag hanging from the ceiling. It’ll be on Youtube soon as well as The full clip of Erik Baileys’ Back royale all the way around that satillite dish from the angle he started at.
