This Disaster Royale to flat is probably one of the gnarliest photos I have taken so far this year. The spot starts out with a cracked, bumpy run up followed by about an 8 foot gap from the bank to the rail. Immediately following the rail you have a cracked, bumpy landing as well. Daniel Henderson finished up this spot with this photo right after being booted by the building’s owners. I took this photo in Macon, Georgia, with my Canon 40D and 10-17mm Tokina fisheye at 1/400th and f/10. I used two flashes to light him and freeze the motion. I chose to shoot the photo faster than my flash sync allows to cut down some of the ambient light hitting Daniel and to keep the photo sharp. I composed the photo so the ambient light would fill where my flash cut off due to the maximum 250th sync. — Corey Oringderff

That’s a great photo, and I’ve been really impressed with Daniel in recent memory. Macon rips.
