After a week of shooting photos in Munich, ONE headed east to visit Ignition Skateshop. Due to some issues with trains, transfers and eventually a bus, our arrival was several hours late, which actually worked out great since a full-blown beer pong game was underway when we finally got to the skatepark. As far as a welcome, this one was pretty damn good. Thanks Ignition!
Later Friday night the Rat Tail guys showed up, powering through a 9-hour drive from Frankfurt in a snow storm. Saturday morning we all headed over to the skatepark and shop for a demo and to meet the local bladers. Before lacing up his Nimhs to shred the park, a chilly Jon Elliott headed into Ignition to check out the shop.
And the man behind the counter is Leo Donhauser, Ignition mastermind. Unfortunately our previous night’s travel delays made him spend too much time in his car trying to find us, but here he’s back in his element, ready for an exciting weekend of visitors to his mountain paradise.
We’ll post more soon, as today promises to hold plenty of picture-worthy moments, but we’ll wrap this post up with a picture of one of the mountains that tower above Ignition Valley. This is the view from the shop’s parking lot. Not bad at all.
