BLADE LIFE: Popacid Crew Tour in Poland

At the end of the 2010 summer season, right after the biggest eastern European park competition, the Baltic games, the Popacid Crew did a little tour along the Polish seaside. We organized everything from scratch, had nice hotels for the whole trip, secured full insurance just in case, and got some money for traveling along with some nice pieces of fresh skating hardware, too. All thanks to our sponsors!

The guys on tour were: Ula Chodorowska, Maciek Kożuch, Adam Żurawiecki, Maciek Arciszewski, Marcin Kopiec, Łukasz Malewski, Dawid Duma and Andrzej Bonder.

During the one week tour we put up daily reports on our website. We got a pretty good group of people checking in on us daily.

HEL peninsula, the place where the tour took place, is pretty much filled with beaches and tourists. On tour we were searching for good spots, so we went there to discover the unknown. No one expected us to find anything interesting over there, but we did.

The tourist season (summer) was going to end soon and the weather was not so good. Still, we had been filming for four days and made a tour video. A couple months later we made a nice piece of promo showing the world what we did. All in all, we had a lot of fun. And the effect? Well, take a look: 2,000 people introduced to our sport in 13 polish cinemas at one time!

One more time let the video and pictures do the talking:

BIG thanks to our sponsors and supporters: Powerslide, The Conference, and Hedonskate.

“There you go” is just our first step. Next time we’re going to do it even better. — Adam Żurawiecki
