Agadir is a great place to start a journey through Morocco. I will always remember Agadir as the place I was when I heard that Michael Jackson died. You could hear Billie Jean coming from inside every club in Agadir that night, drifting up into the air out over the Atlantic Ocean past the Agadir Oufella, an ancient fortress at the top of a giant hill with the inscription Allah Nation King illuminated on the side. I found the same thing while studying in Tunisia! Rolerblading is huge there. (In comparison to skateboarding and bikes.) I think it’s the french influence over those north african countries.
