Look back at your skating — how much has is changed since the last couple big, long tours you’ve been on? What has changed about it?
My skating has changed a lot over the last few years. Recently I am feeling more confident and have found more control. Trick and spot selection have become top priorities the last five years while filming. This forces me to be patient, which can be a struggle. I am also very motivated and put a lot of pressure on myself to be productive when I travel, so on those tour days when no one gets a clip I really have to force myself to relax and be tolerant.

We noticed you chopped off the Fraggle Rock hair! When did that happen, and what caused the decision?
It was time to clean up a bit. I had my dreads for about two years. Dylan, Paul John, Farmer, and AJ helped me cut them off in a Wal-Mart parking lot before I got on my flight home from the last “Pariah” tour.

Share a quick story about your weekend in Detroit; anything funny happen?
This weekend in Detroit was much more chill than past years. Thursday I spent all day at Don’s house, relaxing. It was sick. I took a nap, did homework, we ran errands for AJ, and watched the new “Eastbound and Down.” But the funniest part of the trip was the drive home. Jeph was on another level; I laughed the whole way home.

We can imagine; pretty sure we saw him warming up for that the night before. Ha ha. Well, all right, we know you’re busy, so get back at it. Congrats again!
