San Diego Classic 2018

While the real life Pineapple Express storm draped Northern California with a river of rain, blue bird skies without a single could greeted everyone that can to San Diego on April 8th for the second annual San Diego Classic. With three spots in store for the bladers — one of which was a first-timer for everyone in attendance — host Russell Day proved once again that simply inviting people to come out for an event is half the battle. With a stacked roster of talent featuring the likes of returning champion Chad Tannehill, Jon Fromm, guest entry Carlos Bernal all the way from Barcelona, Anthony Luna, Damian Michalski, Hayden Ball, eventual first place winner Tim Franken, and more, here’s a look at a full day’s worth of blading where people pulled out hard tricks and kept pushing each other all day. Special props to young ripper Danny Garcia — just 13 years old — who threw down after the comp with a soul down *Hurlbutt*, the last spot and a well-known local rail both for it’s *perfection* and it’s difficulty. So here it is, ONE @ SD Classic 2018.
