I was hanging out around the house, doing some chores, listening to some music, when I got the urge to shoot some blading. I had just bought some new flash transmitters for my camera, so the urge hit me like a ton of bricks. Checking out the regular social media sites to see what my buddies were up to, sure enough, the guys had plans of going to the Mchenry, Il. skatepark. Going to the skatepark isn’t really what I had in mind, but I decided “what the hell.”
The drive there took a bit over an hour. Fourth of July vacationers where heading home in droves. By the time I made it to the park, the guys were already drenched with sweat and running out of energy. I got about 20 minutes worth of skating in before everyone started taking their skates off. Eddie Dombrowski was the only guy with some skate left in him. So we decided to head to a local spot so see if we could catch a shot or two. Eddie quickly pulled off this Topside Acid and I quickly had my first rollerblading photo taken using flash equipment. Success.
