It was Saturday, the sun was shining, so Hayden Ball and I met up to go work out some deals. The meet up spot was Carmel Valley skatepark (where we randomly ran into three other bladers) so that we could shoot this very picture. As we walked up to the skatepark gates the crowd of pubescent skateboard locals asked Hayden “Hey, aren’t you the rollerblader?” To which Hayden of course said, “Sure!” With the attention of everyone in the park, Hayden climbed up the fence, crawled up onto the sunshade, and jumped into the bank several times. As we fought to keep background elements from ruining the shot, we nabbed this classy Stale Grab that pleased the crowd of onlookers. Mission accomplished, we headed out into the sunny afternoon. 1/500 at 5.6 with the 24mm, ISO 100. — JE
