February kicked off with some very unseasonably warm and mild weather. I’m in no way complaining. Hell, it was really nice to get out with Dan in some pleasant weather after what we endured during the tail end of shooting for his #25 profile. It almost felt like the start of summer, so what better way to enjoy it (and what more obvious indication that this took place before the world went wild with the virus) than to get a car full of people and head off on a mission all around Somerset in search of a session and some new spots. Bridgewater and some curved benches in one of its schools was decided upon as the first spot of the day, and once we had literally pulled the bench apart, moved it to a better location and rebuilt it, the session was on! Dan was throwing himself at these sweatstance’s with such speed and almost a lack of care, but never came off bad. It was just a case of tweaking the trick to perfection for both me and Trebble to capture. I brought out my much favoured Nikkor 85mm 1.8 prime lens to capture this scene with two strobes at full power positioned to the left and right of Dan, to both light him up and to freeze the high speed action. — Sam Cooper
