SDSF Ocean Beach Blade Swap Meet

It’s Saturday, March 31, and today was the SDSF Ocean Beach Blade Day, which really was a swap meet for bladers. People like Louie Zamora and Steve Steinmetz (who alone donated 8-9 pairs of skates) brought deep collections of shells and accessories for people to either buy at reasonable prices, or just use. It also resulted in a session at the nearby OB skatepark, and a grip of people hanging around the shop. Videos featured today were the Fester team video and “The City Never Sleeps.” Vince cut up some ham and cheese, fired up the hot plate and made some hors d’oeuvre, bladers cruised the blade tables mining for parts, Jenn picked up some brand-new Schwab footwraps for $10 and I bought a Powerblading setup. Hopefully you cruised by if you were in the area, but if not here’s a look at what you missed.
