“The Laced Series partnered with Rampworx Skatepark (rampworx.com) once again and Blading.info (blading.info) to bring you guys an incredible event. With 13 countries in attendance and over 120 riders competing it was sure to be a great contest.
The level of blading at this years Laced contest was unreal! Some of the worlds most elite riders battled it out in the UK’s biggest skatepark to see who would take the number one spot home (and a nice wedge of cash).
The UK’s very own Nick Lomax didnt disappoint the Rampworx crowd with some serious next level blading, enough to earn the USD pro 1st Place in the Pro contest. 2nd place went to Kaltik Pro rider Steve Swain with 3rd place being picked up by Razors Scott Quinn.
One of the most promising talents in the UK scene Jake Rickets took home a much deserved 1st place in the Am contest. Jake took a nasty slam in the finals braking a few of his fingers/hand, but that didn’t stop the pint sized shredder, he got up and continued to lace his final run. Followed very closely by London’s Jack Swindles who ended up winning £300 for Best Trick and 2nd place Am.
The girls contest saw some of the best talents in female blading fly into Liverpool for a second time to compete at Laced. This years top honours went to Cristina Grasselli from Brazil who was lacing trick after trick all weekend. Followed very closely by French powerhouse Stéphanie Richer who’s trick vocabulary is big enough to put most guys to shame!
After the winners where announced and prizes given we headed to one of the cities best nights out ALOHA for the official after party presented by Red Bull. Everyone partied hard!… in typical Liverpool fashion. Keeping the club open an hour longer than normal! Big thanks to ALOHA and Red Bull for the free drinks!”
