Joey: That’s a really important part of the podcasts. Rollerbladers do this anyway. Todd and I were podcasting and we were podcasting with our other friends before we knew what a podcast was. Rollerbladers sit around and bullshit for hours when they are not skating. You bullshit for so long, why not record some of it and put it out? Not only that but it’s now bridging some gaps, it’s allowing us to connect with some people and bullshit with them. Like the Chris Haffey and the Kevin Dowling one. We just have such a long list of people that we want to bullshit with. It’s endless. And the fact that you can share it and it’s quick and easy and addictive. Podcasting is so addictive. It’d be so fun to record a podcast everyday.
Todd: It really is a unique thing that we can talk to people in a different country. Talk to people that are far away from us but connect with them in this interesting way where we share this bond. That’s something that’s really unique to rollerblading. You don’t hear a lot of podcasts where people are talking to people in different countries. That’s really unique and interesting. We should take advantage of that. That we can do that. We can be comfortable doing that.
For anyone that is interested in hearing the entire interview, Todd has been kind enough to post it on their site.
The not-talking comment is interesting. Was thinking that same thing while watching the BD interviews I dug up — everyone was a lot more open six years ago. Guessing it’s the prevalence of FB and social media and the unyielding maw of criticism that goes along with being in the public eye in this day and age.
