Even though I live in Pittsburgh now, I could not be more grateful to be a part of the Iowa blading scene. Iowans are among the most modest, humble, and talented individuals I have ever met, and the Iowa Connection website has been going strong for over a decade. One thing we do, like many other great blading scenes, is organize large sessions every year. This year we have a complete list of events already set to insure a great year of blading in Iowa. This image is from the first session we organized on March 31 in Cedar Rapids. Justin “Fuzzy” Eischeid had been telling me he wanted to lace a lot of tricks at the session, so I kept a close eye on him at the second spot. After seeing him do exactly what he said, I got out my camera and snapped this frame of him steezing a zero makio on this out ledge. Fuzzy was happy with the image, so we kept on shooting (you can see more from this session here). Needless to say, our first session was a huge success, and we left with at least one solid image. Check out the Iowa Connection calender of events, and hopefully we will see you at an event very soon. This photo was shot in natural light at 1/1600 on a Canon 7D at f2.8 and ISO 160.
