I took a trip down to Richmond, Virginia, for a weekend. On my second day there we took a journey to find this ditch, which was by some bridge. It took some driving around, but we found it. When we first noticed the part with the wallride, Eddie Chung was all about landing something alley-oop. After a few warm up runs getting used to it, Eddie landed this sweet AO Wallride 180 out. Shot with a Nikon D200, Promaster 17-50 2.8 @ 17mm, F6.3, 1/160, iso 100, and a Sunpak 544 at camera right. — Drew Humphrey
Why shoot at 1/160 in daylight with flash? Surely you want to be getting at least 1/250 to avoid some blur? On a sunny day you can push your Xsync if you are only relying on the flash to light the subject towards the middle/top of the frame. You can get away with 1/500 usually, provided you don’t need flash light to light the lower part of the frame.
idk why i shot it at that speed, but i guess it worked out
I’m sitting here watching Gangland on TV and absentmindedly surfing the tron when I realized that the guy in the pic is wallriding on a huge MS tag. Upon further inspection of the photo it appears there are several MS and LK tags throughout that area. According to the History Channel these groups don’t look kindly on this sort of activity. I know nothing is going to stop a skater from exploring for the epic spot, but being mistaken for a rival gang member or the possibility of the writer perceiving your skating as disrespect seems like a reasonable concern…no?
l.k.. lolz.. tha wazup.. im prolly tha only latin king tha skates. lolz
