I don’t really have an amazing story, or a list of japes that lead to this shot of my good mate and all round spot slayer Adam Galwas being captured. All there is to be said is right now I’m starting to shoot a profile on Adam for UK-rolling, so keep your eyes open for that. I had this angle for this spot in mind for a while, and with Adam in full effect, as ever, we made our way to the spot where he bashed out this Truespin Mistral. I shot with my Sigma 10mm fisheye, lit the scene and Adam up with a Canon 540EZ at 1/4 power and a Vivitar 285HV at 1/4 power, both with diffusers, one flash was half way up the stairs and the other at the bottom. — Sam Cooper
I think the angle here is too acute and makes the trick and spot look a little less impressive than it could have been. I like the low-key lighting though and the spot looks fun to skate.
Such a rad shot, dig the lighting. Agree with Dan, when I 1st saw the shot my feeling was to have a bit more space to the left of Adam & the angle change would sort that out.
I actually agree this both of you… its just one of those angles i had in mind for so long but when it came to the end result it didnt work out quite as it did in my head but felt I invested so much toime thinking about it that I couldnt scrap it. The spot is sick although very dirty as it is a UK spot
