This photo of Ollie Jones midway through lacing a tough Topporn down the rail after riding up the bank and then 180ing onto it, was shot at the very start of this year’s summer. Due to this, the natural light situation was very tricky. As well as having to shoot towards the direction of the sun, it was also very strong. Only using a combination of having my three strobes set at full power and the hyper sync function on my Pocket Wizards would help me overcome this. I made the best I could of having to shoot into the sun, choosing an angle that created a light flair within the shot added a little something extra. My weapon of choice for this shot was my stunning Nikkor 85mm of which helped create a real strong definition between my subject and the messy backdrop behind him.— Sam Cooper
