If you’ve ever wondered why other bladers talk about respecting those who came before you, it’s because long ago guys like those in the second and third generations of rollerblading godfathers were carving history into the asphalt. And in Southern California Beau Cottington was there to film it. Back in 2004 he cut together about 10 years’ worth of footage to release the retrospective “Respect.”
We just watched it again and wrote down all the names that were shown on screen. It was quite a list.
