BLADE LIFE: ONE in Amsterdam (Day 12)

After more than a week in Germany, traveling from Frankfurt, to Munich, then Bad Reichenhall, ONE took themselves a little break with a trip north to Amsterdam. Once there we hooked up with the Denial team for a day of exploring the infamous Red Light District. Sights like this one of Erik Stokley, hanging with John Schmidt and the Dub Caesar himself, Adam Killgore, were not uncommon.

Chris Majette taking part in the most common activity in Amsterdam, visiting the ATM.

Behold, the entrance to the Red Light District. Coffeeshops, food and sex. Why not?

Believe it or not, bicycles actually outnumber whores, street dealers and coffeeshops. But probably not by much.

This is the Smart Car. Coming soon to America. It gets something like 45 miles to the gallon according to 2007 EPA estimates. It’s unbelievably tiny, and they say it was invented by Swatch.

Is Majette posing for a postcard, or thinking about trying to boost one of those scooters? We don’t know, and had to leave before we could find out. I guess we’ll hear the rest of the Denial in Amsterdam story when we meet up with the guys again at Winterclash. Now it’s back to Frankfurt to hang with Benny Harmanus and his crew. We’ll keep you updated…

i dont see America ever getting those smart cars, with all the soccer moms in giant SUVs i would be scared to be sitting in traffic with that little thing!

I checked out the Smart at the Detroit auto show a few weeks ago, really nice for such a small, in expensive car! I for one wish America would come to its senses transportation-wise… anyways, so jealous of everyone living it up in europe right now!

Europe is much smarter than America in so many ways, the smart car is one of many examples of why Europe is known as being much more environmentally friendly than america. America still use the ignorant attitude that bigger is better and live a wasteful lifestyle in every aspect haha unlucky

I saw a Smart Car on my street in Brooklyn last week (though I saw one on 60 Minutes a year ago, with Andy Rooney crying about how small they are). I want one now—you know how I like tiny things. And that may be a lot of bicycles for Europe, but I think the employee parking lot at the Rong Rong in Shanghai probably outnumbered all of Amsterdam.

Oh and hey Bridgeit, you should probably check out this South Park episode.
