This past weekend was the 4th Annual Mr. Smalls Summer Xtravaganza. Bikers, skateboarders and rollerbladers congregated along the Allegheny River for a weekend of competition, concerts and sessions. There were competitors from Michigan, Kentucky and New Jersey as well as some of the top pros in the rollerblading industry…
Chris Edwards rollerblading legend and now Pittsburgh local was the man in making sure the whole event went down smoothly. I’m pretty sure he didn’t sleep much the entire weekend.
Dan took a few days away from Woodward to come compete in the event. He ended his qualifying round with this gap from the top of the 12 foot quarterpipe over the stop sign to flat.
One of the locals to qualify for the finals, Jason Snow laced this backside fastslide perfectly to fakie.
Going down as the most unique trick of the day, Mike Koliner threw this crazy hand-drag up the coping box. He gapped from a bank on the far side of the ledge to 360 hand drag to forward up the box. Mike is another local, and he represented Pittsburgh in a big way during the comp.
