Mike was the only person all weekend crazy enough to skate “Nessie,” as we more affectionatly know this crazy object. Topsoul from the top the of first bump all the way through the end.

Montre put his mark on almost every single part of the park, including this huge 540 to flat over the 10-foot fly box.

The event started on Saturday the 25th, with amateur qualifying events during the day to earn a spot in the finals on Sunday, alongside the locals who had earned their spots in various other qualifiers. Five more competitors were then chosen to skate for a chance to receive a $650 travel voucher to go to the national AIL finals. Everyone skated hard and crazy tricks were laced, but at the end Brett Urbas from M1 came out on top, after several trips to the top of the big wall ride and multiple grinds over the sub-box of death.

After the finals there was a WRS Pro demo including Brian Aragon, Chris Haffey, Montre Livingston and many others. The entire park was killed, but the focus was definitely on the wallride, which Montre, Aragon and Koliner went to work on. It was an impressive show not only for the rollerbladers in attendance, but also to the crowd of bikers, skateboarders and Yinzers. All in all it was a killer event, and next year should be even bigger.
