What was going to possibly be a trip out to Las Vegas for the Sin City 2 session quickly turned into a photo mission. Originally I was going to try to get some of the guys from the city (San Francisco) to carpool out to Las Vegas, but due to school and work, that wasn’t happening.

I was skeptical about doing a 10-hour drive by myself, but my girl Melissa Brown insisted I go for the “bLadies.” She raised a few hundred dollars for the girls to help them get to the event, pitched me gas money, and got a hotel. At this point I had to go, and knew if I was driving to Vegas I had better make a good trip out of it. It turned into a 3,000-mile photo tour.

Chris Calkin’s Sin City 2 session had a great turn out — lots of skating, socializing, and partying went down that weekend. It was also cool to see the second west coast competition in which the ladies had their own heat.
